About Mai Britt Wolthers (Denmark, 1962) View artist profile >>

Born and raised in Denmark, Mai-Britt Wolthers moved to Brazil, where she lives and works since 1986. Her passion for the exhuberant forests she found there are one of the main reasons why her work usually refers, in an abstract way, to shapes and colours captured there, not forgetting her roots. She later started a new series parting from a story of her family, where her cousin’s daily activities are abstractly represented. She participated in the Bienal Nacional de Santos in 2006, and the XI Bienal do Recôncavo in 2011
