Hopton studied in London, at Central Saint Martins school. She aims not to settle on a definitive technique or media, her work is characterized by the use of very different médium such as photograohy,collage or sculpture, that she mixes with wallpaper and fabric designs from the vegetable prints she creates in the summer from her vegetable garden. Self portratis, studies of flowers and still lifes are a constant subject in her production. Her aim is to create with no limit, erasing the line between art and life.  Her work has been exhibited through all the United Kingdom included in the Arts Council Collection, and she was nominated for the Max Mara prize in 2007.
