He is an architect as well as an artist, and lives and works between Paris and Lisbon. He has developed his work in the fields of photography, video, sculpture, installation, performance or even industrial design. His artworks are part of several institutional collections such as MoMa, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Serralves Foundation, Fonds National d’Art Contemporain o el Musée National d’Art Moderne / Centre Georges Pompidou.
Venice Architecture Biennale (2000)
Didier Faustino has participated several times at both the Venice Biennale of architecture and the biennale of contemporary art. In 2000 he presented one of his most iconics works, ‘Body in Transit’, which consisted in a storage container for the aerial shipping of an immigrant critiquing the transport of illegal immigrants, The piece became part of the Centre Pompidou collection.
