Dolven is known as being one of the most prominent norwegian artists of our time. His works include painting, video art and installation, and center its interest in the representation of landscapes of northern Norway, looking to capture sublime natural forces, with the influence of the norwegian 19th century painter Peder Balke.Dolven’s work has a philosophical vision, dealing with the subject of suboucious and perception of memory and feeling. Exhibited in museums such as the South London Gallery or the Philadelphia Museum of Art, his work has also been acquired by important collections such as the Gaia Collection or the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago.
