About Martín Vitaliti (Buenos Aires, 1978) View artist profile >>

The artistic work of Martín Vitaliti (Buenos Aires, 1978) is based on the manipulation of the different elements that constitute the language of comics. Based on existing comics, Vitaliti develops several research lines that simultaneously synthesize and expand some of the main elements of these comics, either multiplying their pages to generate other spaces of representation, removing the characters of the stories, extending the meaning of the captions, or transforming the meaning of the dialogues and the original narrations.

He has participated in festivals and various exhibitions at different galleries, art spaces and museums, both national and international, such as Lisa Kandlhofer Gallery (Vienna), CentroCentro (Madrid), Document Art Gallery (Buenos Aires), ABC Museum (Madrid), Espazo Normal (A Coruña), etHALL Gallery (Barcelona), La Casa Encendida, within the framework of the Generación Prize (Madrid), and Biennal d'Art Leandre Cristòfol.

From 2009 to 2016 he published with Save As... Publications Líneas cínéticasDidascalias y Fondos, a trilogy about the constituent elements of comic language; 360º, edited by Series AL / Buchhandlung Walther König and Sin Coordenadas edited by Tren en Movimiento.

His work is part of public and private collections, such as Caja Madrid Foundation, National Library of Spain, ICArt Collection, Center d'Art La Panera Collection, Banc Sabadell Collection, Frances Reynolds Collection, Nion McEvoy's Collection and Jorge Rais Collection, among others.
