Ramiro Guerreiro attended the architecture course of the University of Porto and finished his studies at the Independent Study Program of Maumaus - school of visual arts, in Lisbon. He lives and works in Lisbon.
He has exhibited regularly since the mid-2000s. In 2005 Guerreiro received an Honorable Mention from the “EDP new artists” prize and exhibited also at the “BES Revelação” Award show (Casa de Serralves, Porto). These solo shows are of special note: “Austerity - International Style - Spring/ Summer 2016” (Ku?nstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, 2015); “Scriptorium”, Galeria Belo-Galsterer, Lisbon (2015), “Instructions” (Espaço Arte Tranquilidade, Lisbon, 2013); “Laissez Casser” (Galerie Château de Servières, Marseille, 2013); “Resto” (Pavilhão Branco, Museu da Cidade, Lisbon, 2011); or “Verdes Anos” (Sala do Cinzeiro 8, Museu da Electricidade, EDP Foundation, Lisbon, 2009).He has made, among others, the following artist residencies: Ku?nstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin (2014/2015), with grant from Fundação Gulbenkian; Program Le Pavillon, Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2009/2010); or Casa Velázquez, Madrid (2007/2008).
