Manel Armengol has always worked as a photographer and a photojournalist. Some of his photographs are iconic pictures of the social situation during the 70s such as the Spanish transition. Simple images of daily life as well as demonstrations and violent episodes are just some of his most recurrent themes. His artistic production is a key element towards the understanding of contemporary societies and the establishment of democracy in Spain.
Palau Robert in Barcelona or MNAC are just some of the institutions where the artist has displayed his worked. He has also taken part in both solo and group exhibitions in galleries such as EGAM in Madrid and Ana Mas Projects among others.
