Maíllo Fine Arts Bachelor Degree from Complutense University in Madrid.
Represented by Ponces+Robles art gallery, he recently launches his exhibition Raw Approach in the Arts Center of Alcobendas in Madrid, his first individual exhibition in a museum.
He is granted a residence in Addaya Gallery of Alaró in Mallorca, where he unveils Maillo en Mallorca, curated by Virginia Torrente, his fourth individual exhibitionafter Detroit, a two-part project present both in his main art gallery and ARCO 2014.
In his brief but intense career, including more individual exhibitions like Mighty Buccaroo in Javier Silva gallery and Slight Flow in José Robles gallery, Maíllosheds light on what is happening out there through painting and the possibilities it offers, understood as a multimorphic medium and engine of thought.
Maíllo has been mentioned in many publications, standing out from them the books 2014/Antes de irse. 40 ideas sobre la pintura, by David Barro, and Arte Contemporáneo español 1992-2013, by Rafael Doctor Roncero.
He has exhibited in collective events like MulaFest Festival, Open Studios, Cultura Inquieta Festival, Spanish College in Paris and Sala de Arte Joven de la Comunidad de Madrid, being selected for the XXIII Tours Edition.
He takes part in ARCO 2013 with his project Hender lo referencial, corporeizar el trazo, and in the exhibit ¡A vueltas con la Maldita Pintura!, curated by Juan Ugalde in Collections ICO Museum in Madrid.
He is part of the InTransit platform and Matadero Madrid creators archive and the broadcast platform Oral Memories under The Spanish´s Ministry of Culture.
His work can be found in different private and public collections of Spain, France, Colombia, Mexico, Switzerland, Peru and Germany.
