Artist and associate professor of the Universidad de los Andes. She completed a master's degree (MFA), at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, as a Fulbright and ICETEX Scholar. Her work has been exhibited since 1986 in national and international exhibitions. Between 1997 and 2001 she was Director of the Art Department of the University of Los Andes, of which she has been a professor since 1991.
Some of her individual exhibitions have been: Minimum Impact at the Bolivarian Museum of Contemporary Art in Santa Marta Colombia (2013), Through the Body at Flatfile Galleries in Chicago (2008) and Through the body at the Casas Riegner Gallery in Bogotá (2006 ). In 2014, she was nominated for the VIII Luis Caballero Prize, with “Habitable Drawing”, which was presented in Flora, Bogotá, between September and November 2015. In 2017 she presented her work at the 12th International Conference of The Arts and Society in Paris, Drawing Habitable at Plecto Galería in Medellín, and presented her work Mapping the Territory II at l'espace Cosmopolis, in Nantes, France. Her work is present in private collections in Colombia, Mexico, Chile, the United States and Spain, among others.
