Julia Llerena, born in Seville, lives and works in Madrid.
She has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville, the University of Barcelona and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence (2003-2008). Llerena raises from his position of artist the possibility of limiting the infinite space to give a false habitable appearance. There is no horizon or reference, the absolute vacuum dissects the place where thoughts and strategies originate, that is, the possibility of being. Is white noise willing to be busy? Perhaps the intuited and unlimited platform in which experiences are developed.
In 2017 he obtains the Circuits Prize and the Iniciarte Scholarship. In 2016 it is part of the collective exhibitions 'What do they feel, what do the Andalusian artists think of now?' in the CAAC of Seville; 3 + 3 at the Embassy of Spain in Tokyo and 'One place and time' at Espacio Odeón, Bogotá. In 2015 participates in the collective 'Buscadores de oro', in OTR Madrid art space. In 2014 he finished the Master in Art and Creation Research at the Complutense University of Madrid. That same year she received the Injuve Prize, she was selected in Entreacto (Espacio Mínimo Gallery), Intransit (c art c) and ATELIER, an activity integrated within the framework of FEEDBACK, a curating program that Tiago de Abreu Pinto and Francesco Giaveri made for the Sala de Young Art of the Community of Madrid.
