Navarro Baldewg is not only an international well-known architect, but he has also achieved a consolidated artistic career, which began in the late fifties, as a painter and sculptor. He structures his plastic work around conceptual experiences and employs colour as the main element of his compositions. During the mid-sixties, he’ll start introducing referential objects and painting will end up becoming, in the late eighties, the pivotal medium of his artistic production. He has received multiple prizes as an architect, and in 1990 he was awarded the National Plastic Arts Award regarding his successful career as both a painter and sculptor. Navarro Baldeweg has also displayed his work in diverse galleries such as the Marlborough Gallery in Madrid.
