Jessica Stockholder

Birth placeWashington DC Birth date1959

The American artist is best known for her use of daily life objects in her art pieces as she considers art to be something ordinary. The employment of colour is also fundamental in her work as the artist considers colour to be the best medium in order to convey our feelings. She's very compromised with her audience and makes a huge effort to establish a bond with the viewer in her artistic production. Currently she has a job as a professor at the Univeristy of Chicago and previously she was chief of the sculpture department at Yale University.
