Born in 1991 in Porto, Portugal. He lives and works between Lisbon and Porto.
He has a degree in Plastic Arts from the Faculdade de Belas Artes (Fine Arts Faculty), Porto University, institution which awarded him a prize for Plastic Arts in 2012/2013. He has also done professional training on the techniques for manufacturing moulded and blown glass from CENCAL in Marinha Grande.
He was one of the members of the SINTOMA group that carried out research on performance, from i2ADS (Research Institute on Arts, Design and Society) - Porto University Fine Arts Faculty. He was co-author of the project Expedição (Expedition). Between 2013 and 2015 he produced and developed several collective and individual exhibitions, performances, residences, email-art. He has also published and collaborated with different institutions and independent artistic venues.
For his works, Horácio uses different media, structuring his practice from the thoughts and organisation of a painting, but crossing it with graphic design or digital images and performance.
He has participated regularly in shows since 2011, cooperating with other artists’ projects. We can highlight the collective exhibition O que Eu sou, from the Fundação EDP collection, MAAT, (2017), White Horse, Bregas, Lisboa, (2016); ZULULUZU FO’SHO, collaboration with Teatro Praga for the show ZULULUZU, (2016); Black Dolphin, collaboration with Tiago Alexandre Walk&Talk S. Miguel, Açores (2016).
