Fernão Cruz

Graduated in Fine Arts (Painting) by the Faculty of Fine Arts: University of Lisbon. Lived, studied and worked in Barcelona between 2016 and 2017 at the Universitat de Barcelona: Facultat de Belles Arts. Artist-in-residence at BananaJam Art Space, Shenzhen, China in 2017. Uses and explores different media in his work such as painting, drawing, sculpture or installation. Winner of the national art prize Arte Jovem 2017 by Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa and Fundação Millenium Bcp. Has exhibited since 2015.

He released the book “Stretching can be easy” in 2018 along with Rui da Paz. It's an author edition, where he presents several pictures collected by him as also projects and works of the past 2 years. Each book contains an original drawing, a self-portrait by and of the artist stretching in different ways, which makes each book unique.
