Eva Miquel has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. Her proposals materialize at this stage of maturity through drawing, a discipline in which she was a finalist in the Ynglada-Guillot International Drawing Prize. However, video and photography have also been languages explored in her career. Her recent projects include the solo exhibition “Mutismos” (Palmadotze, 2019) and participation in SWAB Barcelona where she was highlighted with two Acquisition Awards. Also in 2019 she participated in the exhibition “Liquid landscapes” at La Pedrera Espacio Kreatiu (Subirats, Barcelona). In 2014 she presented at Untitled BCN, the drawing project “A scale 1: 1000” and in 2012 she exhibited in the Contemporary Creation Space of Cádiz “De ida ... y vuelta”, a collective curated by Ignacio Cabrero.
Her work has been exhibited at ARCO (Madrid, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007), Artissima (Turin, Italy, 2001, 2002, 2003,2004 and 2005) and DFoto (San Sebastián, 2005, 2007) fairs. In 2005 she was a finalist in the video art contest "Ingenio 400. IV Centenario del Quijote" and received an honorable mention in "Generación 2005". These recognitions are added to the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation scholarship (Mallorca 2001), the Casa de Velázquez Scholarship (Ministry of Culture, Madrid 2001), the Residency-Scholarship in Vienna (Austrian Ministry of Culture, Vienna 2001) or the AECA Award (Spanish Association of Art Critics) at the ESTAMPA fair, Madrid, 2000. She has participated in LOOP (Barcelona, 2005), the FIB-Arte (Benicàssim International Festival, Castellón, 2007 and 2003) and the Observatory ( Valencia, 2003).
