The painter and writer Eduardo Arroyo was born in Madrid in 1937. After finishing the Journalism career he moved to Paris, where he combined writing with painting. His work is figurative, key to the narrative figuration as the Spanish Neofiguration and linked to Pop Art. Characteristics of many of his works are the widespread absence of spatial depth and the flattening of perspective. Currently, many of his works are distributed in renowned national and international modern art museums, and his creativity extends to theatrical scenographies and illustrated editions.
