The binomial formed by Helena Cabello and Ana Carceller results in the artistic. collective known as Cabello Carceller.
Their work is strongly political and analyzes gender politics in space and the socially accepted mechanisms of representation, with a great influence of the contemporary and feminist and queer theories.
Besides its formal subtlety, Cabello Carceller's work has a controversial speech which they develop through different media such as photography, video, installation, conferences and participatory events, finding references in history, cinema, society, politics and contemporary art itself.
To Cabello Carceller, the exhibition space is part of the work, so they design the whole stage. Moving between what is general and what is particular, they find alternative forms of beauty free from stereotypes such as the ones of femininity or masculinity.
