Bosco Caride

Birth placeVigo, Spain Birth date1963

Caride’s work essentially consists of monochromatic compositions as well as detailed drawing which mirror photography negatives. His principal subjects are the warehouses, supermarkets, building under construction, parking areas, etc. Through these themes, he explores a precious representation of these images as he employs a calligraphic, vibrant stroke. Despite the precision in lines, the audience can still find emotion in the artwork as the composition is not as frivolous as it might same at first glance.

His first show was in 1986 as he presented his work in the collective exhibition Novísimos. Caride’s work has also been shown in Galicia, Murcia, León, Alicante as well as in some locations in Portugal. Currently, some of the artist’s pieces belong to national collections such as the Contemporary Art Museum Unión Fenosa; the CAIXANOVA Collection as well as the Provincial Museum of Orense.
