Being one of the most important representatives of an art movement known as “Informalism”, Antoni was a spculptor, painter and art theoric that had a surrealistic period in the 40’s, taking his inspiration from Joan Miro, Max Ernst and Paul Klee. He would later become a painter that would use non artistic materials to create and that would innovate in the way of producing art. He wanted to find a new significance to the act of making art, reclaiming the materials on top of the forms. He has been awarded with multiple prizes, national and internationally, and has been exhibited and purchased by the best museums and collections in the world such as the MOMA and the Guggenheim in New York and the Tate Modern in London, among many others.
