London and the Ampurdán are his sources of inspiration. In the British capital, Albert Riera Galceran graduated from the prestigious Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts, London), which counts among his former students outstanding figures of contemporary art. And in the Catalan region is where he has his studio and where he manages to find, as he explains, "that necessary balance and create chromatic harmonies that provoke emotion". In his works, you can see references to the language used by abstract painters of Mediterranean influence, such as Ràfols-Casamada, Guinovar and even Tàpies. Albert Riera Galceran uses the styles of modern art as a means and not as an end, and results in unusual harmonies of colours and gestural elements superimposed on different ranges and textures.
